Public Works Director denies wrongdoing
Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Fargo's suspended Public Works Director denies he violated city policy, when buying 100-thousand dollars worth of G-P-S for equipment.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
Policy requires a bidding process only for purchases of more than 25-thousand dollars and quotes for those of ten to 25-thousand.
The city says Al Weigel did not get quotes. Weigel tells the Forum; all the purchases were less than ten thousand dollars, so quotes were not needed.
The city may hire an independent firm to investigate.
