(WDAY TV) - Health leaders are urging people to get seasonal and swine flu shots before the flood for fear of another outbreak.

They are closely watching cases worldwide. Officials say the timing is about right for the third wave of swine flu to hit then.

With the stress of sandbagging, building dikes, or evacuating, people don't take care of their bodies as well as they should. While response to vaccines has been excellent, many volunteers still haven't received shots.

"The population that's the least vaccinated are the young healthy adults and that's our workforce of course, during a, during a flood response."

You can get flu shots at healthcare facilities. If there's a big demand, more vaccination clinics will be held before the flood.
