The forecast calls for a 55 percent chance the Red in Wahpeton - Brekenridge will hit major flood stage of 14 feet. A ten percent chance of 18. Last year, the river crested at 17.5 feet.

As we told you Thursday, Breckenridge is starting to plan it’s flood fight. It's increasing the amount of sand, bags, and available clay to make temporary levees.

"We're going to do everything that we can to make sure that we have the clay in the proper spots at the elevations that we want and everybody's going to be protected.”

The entire southside side and two blocks of the north side of Breckenridge now have permanent dikes. Last year, those areas did not.

Here are the levels of some of the other rivers that rose last year. There is a 50-50 chance the Wild Ricer at Abercrombie will reach 27-point-3 feet. The Sheyenne at Valley City has a 50-percent chance of reaching 17-feet and a 50-50 chance the Sheyenne in Lisbon could reach 23-feet.
