School leaders request opinion on new building plan
West Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - West Fargo voters are going back to the polls next month, but before they do, school leaders want their opinion on the new building plan they want passed.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
The plan would cover the district's needs for the next five years. School leaders say they're bursting at the seams, and if they continue on the same path without any additional growth, there will be no room for students.
They think voters will be able to get behind the new plan, to build an elementary and middle school.
“It's easy to see that we have the need for more seats. And we in West Fargo are pretty accustomed to voting for meeting our needs within the next few years, instead of very long-range plans.”
The vote is March 23; voters can go to several polling sites: The Harwood Community Center, the Horace Senior Center, Westside Elementary, Veteran's Arena, and the Sheyenne 9th Grade Center.
