He says Dilworth is seeing a cut of about 150 thousand dollars in local government aid.
Chad Olson says the cuts have taken a toll on Dilworth over the past two budget cycles. The city has lost about a quarter of a million dollars in all.
Olson says in order to survive during these tough times, all options are on the table. He says it's going to be difficult to keep Dilworth's city services as competitive as they have been in the past.
“But at the same time, we owe it to our citizens not to create such a tax burden that they are feeling saddled with that burden as well.”
Olson says the city will have to put off capital investments, in order to make up for lost aid.
