Moorhead, Minn. (WDAY TV) - 29-year old Moorhead native Mark Ladwig skated from relative obscurity, into the world spotlight this week, at the Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
While Ladwig and his partner Amanda Evora didn't end up with a medal, in pairs figure skating, they did succeed in their goal of finishing ahead of half the field. They finished 10th and scored personal bests.
“Tenth place is a dream, our goal was top half, but placement is not under our control. We have to leave that up to the judges. We came hear with the goal of performance. Short program we hit it out of the park that was a homerun.”
Ladwig took in the U-S Men's hockey game Tuesday, and had dinner with the Lamoureux Twins that night.
