Hundreds voice opinion on future of Detroit Mountain
Detroit Lakes, Minn. (WDAY TV) - A good turnout tonight for a public meeting to decide the future of Detroit Mountain.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
As we told you in November, Becker county officials started looking at buying the Mountain. It could be used for skiing, tubing, and hiking to get extra revenue.
Tonight, about 250 people came to the meeting to give their thoughts. No decisions were made.
A lot of unknowns remain. The county is now looking at feasibility studies and volunteers for fundraising.
