Independent Mike Williams announced his run for District 11 legislative office at the Fargo Theater today. He says he's an activist that just happened to get elected to the city commission.
Williams say there's not "one" single plan to flooding, that a combination of a diversion, water retention and storage. Plus, a plan, Williams says, that doesn't leave anyone down or upstream without protection.
As far as working for the city and the state, he says the two jobs go hand in hand.
"The Fargo city commission is a non-partisan position. And the way we get things done, is doing just what I spoke about, finding common ground, and not letting party politics get in the way."
Williams needs 300 signatures by September to be on the ballot.
