Volunteers plan to fit thousands with glasses
Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - It is time to do some early spring cleaning and help a lot of people at the same time.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
A team of doctors and other volunteers is getting ready to leave for Mexico on a mission trip and the group hopes to collect hundreds of pairs of glasses from this area, so the doctors can fit nearly 2-thousand people with glasses. The Detroit Lakes Lions Club is helping sponsor the trip.
“We have seen some remarkable stories, people who had 24/100 vision and here legally blind is 22/100 and these are people who have been walking around with no eyewear and it is just amazing.”
Eyeglasses are being accepted at Eyes on 42nd. That is located just north of the Ramada Plaza Suites.
