Brothers accused of killing sister in courtBAGLEY, Minn. (AP) - One of two brothers accused of killing their sister in 1998 has been released from the Clearwater County Jail after posting bail.
Troy and Todd Martin appeared in court Monday and waived their right to have charges read to them. Thirty-seven-year-old Troy Martin posted the $250,000 bail that was set for each brother.
Thirty-four-year-old Todd Martin remains in custody. The brothers are accused in the death of 31-year-old Leisa Renae Martin. She was reported missing by Todd Martin on Oct. 28, 1998.
Her body was found three days later in Mahnomen County. An autopsy determined she had been asphyxiated. The Bemidji Pioneer reports the brothers' next hearing is March 8.
