Dragons add 17 new players
Moorhead, Minn. (WDAY Sports) - The Bison weren't the only team busy this afternoon, as the Dragons added 17 new players to Joel Beard's squad.By: Dom Izzo, WDAY
The highlights of the class are two quarterbacks for MSUM, including transfer Kevin Cook, who Beard told me last month will get an opportunity to win the job. Former North standout JD McDougal has joined the team from Valley City State. It's a group that Beard would like to develop before they play.
“We'll leave that for August, but the plan right now is to red shirt guys and give them time to develop because I think in the long run that will make our program better.”
Couple of other local guys will continue their playing career. Shane Gallagher from Jamestown, Dan Hangaard from Hankinson and Justin Holm from Detroit Lakes will play at Mary next year.
