Weishair family says they have not signed off on plea deal

As we told you, 71-year old Loren Ernst of Moorhead has reached a plea deal in connection with that 2008 bus crash that killed a Pelican Rapids teen.
It was widely reported this week that the family of 16-year old Jessica Weishair signed off on the deal. This afternoon, the family's attorney told WDAY 6 News that the Weishairs were made aware of the plea deal, but in no way signed off on anything.
The Wright County attorney's office avoided trial and came to an agreement with Ernst that calls for him to serve no more than 30-days in jail. Sentencing is set for March 5th.
