Winning ways in Waubun
Waubun, Minn. (WDAY TV) - There's a resurgence going on in Waubun these days with the girl’s basketball team.By: Dom Izzo, WDAY
The Bombers had won just seven games combined over the last three years.
This year they've already won 10, including five in a row! It's been a uphill battle for Jason McCloskey, but now the payoff is starting to show.
“Anytime you put a lot of effort into stuff, you finally start to see it grow. Our motto is if you open up the gym, they'll play. We get the girls in there, I can't do it alone. We have a lot of parents behind us, lot of dedication by our team, without them it doesn't happen.”
“It feels really good to win instead of losing in the past years and I like to go out on the court and win now.”
