Moorhead, Minn. (WDAY TV) - Students at Concordia College have stepped up to help earthquake victims in Haiti.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
They are part of Peter Hovde's global issues political science class at Concordia and for the past several days, they have been staked out in the college Centrum asking students to donate.
In just a few days, they have raised 45-hundred dollars for Lutheran World Relief. The world wide organization is one of many church based groups doing relief work in Haiti right now.
“I will remember this for the rest of my life and I will carry it with me for as long as I live and teach others to be responsible global citizens.”
The students exceeded one goal. They hoped every student would contribute a dollar. With 35-hundred on campus, they went over their goal by a thousand dollars.
