House fire in rural Otter Tail County

(WDAY TV) - Otter Tail County authorities are trying to identify a body found after a house fire early this morning.

    Otter Tail County authorities are trying to identify a body found after a house fire early this morning.

The fire happened off county Highway 82 in rural Dalton. A passerby called police reporting the home on fire.

Crews from Dalton and Fergus Falls fire departments battled the blaze for about 7 hours. The home is a total loss.

Both Otter Tail County authorities and the state fire marshal are investigating.
