COURTENAY, N.D. (AP) — Canadian Pacific Railway says no injuries were reported and no hazardous materials were involved in a train derailment near the eastern North Dakota town of Courtenay.

Mark Schlecht, a railroad supervisor who was at the scene, said 24 cars derailed between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. Wednesday. Another 50 to 75 cars stayed on the tracks.

The derailed cars were carrying pipeline and grain. Some were empty.

The cause of the wreck was not immediately known.
