Texas man pleads guilty to killing ND man

DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) — A Texas man will be sentenced to 20 years in prison for killing a North Dakota man if a judge approves a plea agreement between Shane Miller and prosecutors.

DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) — A Texas man will be sentenced to 20 years in prison for killing a North Dakota man if a judge approves a plea agreement between Shane Miller and prosecutors.

The 40-year-old Miller on Tuesday pleaded guilty to murder in the shooting death of 49-year-old Neal Matejovsky of Dickinson, whose body was found in a Dunn County field on April 10, 2009.

Another man — Benjamin Orf — is serving a 1½-year sentence on a weapons charge in the case. Orf is believed to have been Matejovsky's stepson at one time.

Dunn County State's Attorney Ross Sundeen is considering more serious charges against Orf. The plea agreement stipulates Miller must cooperate with Sundeen in Orf's case.
