Snow removal helps contractors balance their books

(WDAY TV) - City crews aren't the only ones still feeling the affects of last month's snow storm. So are private contractors. Now both are gearing up again for more snow. The storm is actually a blessing for some area businesses.

Snow may be an annoyance for you to clean up, but for some area businesses, it's helping them balance their books. Clean up from the Christmas snow storm is now, a month later, just wrapping up.

It's already time to gear up for another round of winter weather. We could get hit with half a foot this weekend.

Crews work on average 12 to 24 hours a day during a storm, but you won't hear these plow crews complaining even despite the hours of overtime. Craig Wendt with Valley Lanscaping says these past two winters have significantly helped their bottom line.

The only concern Craig has about this weekends upcoming snow storm is not having time to watch the Vikings game.
