Further Review: Channel 6 sports guy was wrong about Favre

I've tried to put this off as long as possible, but I can't really find an excuse to wait much longer. I was completely wrong about Brett Favre coming to the Vikings. Yep, I have no problem admitting it because I was so sure that this was going to bomb miserably and I said all season long that we'd have to wait until a playoff game or two had been played to really measure this thing.

After Sunday’s game, I’m convinced that it's been a huge success. The irony here is that if it happened again I’d see it the same way. A 40-year old QB with an injured arm that had been a me-first teammate with a track record of late season issues compromising team chemistry by skipping training camp?

I'm sorry but you're just asking for trouble, but as we all know there's been no trouble with Favre. He's been great and they wouldn't be heading to New Orleans without him. Guys I talked to after the game Sunday said they felt so much more confident knowing he'd been through all this before, he completely took the pressure off everyone in that locker room.

They've got a real chance Sunday because of him and as a long suffering Vikings fan; I have to tell you that I’m glad I was wrong. As far as the game, the key for me is the Saint’s offensive line against the Vikings defensive front.

I loved the way jarred Allen and company played, but now let's see some consistency boys. Do it for a second straight week, and do it on the road. If they do they've got a chance, if they don't, Drew Brees will tear them apart.
