Civil lawsuit against Becker County is settled
(WDAY TV) - A civil lawsuit, filed by a convicted murderer, against Becker County has been settled.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
Kenneth Anderson and his attorney claim the jail recorded Anderson’s cell phone calls with his lawyers. They argue the jail violated state and federal wiretapping laws.
County officials say the jail routinely monitored calls but did not listen to the conversations. The plaintiffs settled for 104 thousand dollars. Under the deal, the county does not admit wrongdoing.
