ND man sentenced for assaulting officer
FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A St. Michael man has been sentenced to 3½ years in prison for assaulting a federal officer. Acting U.S. Attorney Lynn Jordheim says 43-year-old Kenneth Demarce Sr. pleaded guilty last October to kicking a police chief on the Spirit Lake Reservation and spitting in his face while being taken into custody on a tribal offense.

Acting U.S. Attorney Lynn Jordheim says 43-year-old Kenneth Demarce Sr. pleaded guilty last October to kicking a police chief on the Spirit Lake Reservation and spitting in his face while being taken into custody on a tribal offense.
Demarce will be on supervised release for three years following his prison term.
