Multimedia Manager returns from deployment

(WDAY TV) - He's usually the one behind the camera, but today a returning soldier stole the spotlight. Senior Master Sergeant David Lipp serves as the Multimedia Manager of the 119th Wing Public Affairs Office. He returned today from a 3 month deployment in Iraq at the Balad Air Base.

There, he was in charge of weapons system video and preparing clips for daily briefings. He's filmed many of these homecomings.

“I always enjoy covering them as a photojournalist because it's always an uplifting, joyous experience. It's that way being the person coming home too.”

This was Lipp's first deployment to Iraq. Lipp recently won first place in the competitive Air Force media contest.
