Deputy Dewey benefit raises over $20,000

(WDAY TV) - Money is still coming in, but right now, almost 22-thousand dollars has been raised for Mahnomen County Chris Dewey.
The West Fargo VFW and the fraternal order of police hosted the benefit last week.
They served a record amount of people during the benefit. Organizers say they're amazed by the response.
All of the money will go to the Dewey family, to help pay for expenses. Dewey was shot in the head and stomach last February in the line of duty. He's now recovering in a Colorado hospital.
