(WDAY TV) - Thanks to help from some area "Santa Clauses," 13 children living in the Churches United Shelter will have presents to open. In just two days, Go Far events raised more than three thousand dollars, to buy presents for those kids.

The group set up shop in the MSUM bookstore to wrap all the gifts. They're amazed by the response of people in the area, who donated on such short notice. They say it's a testament to the giving spirit of our community, especially during the holidays when it matters most.

“Those people don't choose to be there, and none of us choose to be there. But we could be tomorrow, so you've just got to do what you can for your fellow man, and go from there.”

The gifts were all delivered to Churches United this afternoon, so the kids get presents in time for Christmas.
