3 defendants in police standoff plead guilty

DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) — Another three people involved in a police standoff in southwestern North Dakota have pleaded guilty to lesser charges.

DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) — Another three people involved in a police standoff in southwestern North Dakota have pleaded guilty to lesser charges.

Angela Mink, Ashton Mink and Joshua Southwick will be sentenced later.

Prosecutors say their guilty pleas Tuesday were the result of a guilty plea by a fourth defendant, Jacquelin Mink, and her agreement to testify against the other three.

All were charged in connection with a robbery in Dickinson, shooting at a Highway Patrol officer, and a police standoff near Gladstone that ended in gunfire in June.

Authorities believe Angela Mink and Jacquelin Mink helped Ashton Mink and Southwick escape from an Alabama prison in May.
