(WDAY TV) - A November with little to no snow and a frigid December has frost fire ski lodge in Walhalla scrambling. Employees have been working around the clock to make snow to cover the mountain with a thick base of powder.
The sub-zero days have actually slowed the snow making progress. Right now, only one of the two lifts is up and running. They hope to have all of the runs finished by the end of next week.
"Really want all of them open because these few that are open are getting kind of boring."
This past Friday began the marathon shift for the lodge. Except for Christmas day, it is open every day until January 3rd.
