Fargo firefighters ring bells for charity

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Fargo firefighters are on a holiday mission! They are spread out across the metro ringing bells to fire up the kettles.
Firefighters are ringing Salvation Army bells at around 15 locations all day, and until eight tonight. Last year, they helped raise over 23 thousand dollars and hope to exceed that amount this year.
The Salvation Army red kettle campaign is 60 percent of the way to reaching its goal of 650 thousand dollars in 2009.
