Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Proof that it's truly a season of hope, inside the Fargo Civic Center today, the Salvation Army and First Link handed out more than 15-hundred food baskets. They were a complete holiday dinner.

Hornbacher's donated 17-hundred hams worth 27-thousand dollars to add to the potatoes, bread, veggies, and a dessert. They also gave out 4-thousand presents for children and special needs adults.

“It’s like I said, there's 4-thousand individuals who have given gifts, a total of over 5-thousand that got gifts and food baskets. So the numbers were way up so we really needed the community's support to pull it off and they came though and did a great job.”

First Link has coordinated the collection and distribution of holiday gifts since 19-74.
