(WDAY TV) - Area firefighters are chipping in to help fire up the Salvation Army's red kettle campaign. They had a little help from Kris Kringle, to get things started.
Every year, firefighters ring bells for one day, to raise money for the Salvation Army, that'll be tomorrow. They want to top last year's record of more than 23-thousand dollars.
“We've seen you pull together with us during the flood, so let's pull together one more time and help the Salvation Army out tomorrow.”
The Salvation Army has raised 60 percent of its goal of 650 thousand dollars. There are still eight days left in the red kettle campaign.
