Glyndon family escapes from a fire in their home

Glyndon, Minn. (WDAY TV) - It was a scary morning for a Glyndon family who escaped a fire in their mobile home. Just before 10 am, a fire started in the back of this home in Glyndon’s Prairieview Estates mobile home park.

Glyndon, Minn. (WDAY TV) - It was a scary morning for a Glyndon family who escaped a fire in their mobile home. Just before 10 am, a fire started in the back of this home in Glyndon’s Prairieview Estates mobile home park.

Three people, a grandmother, granddaughter, and her friend all escaped without injury. The home's owner says she noticed flames coming from the water heater.

The heat had only been hooked up for about two weeks after they moved from Grand Forks. Glyndon's fire chief says the home is nearly a total loss. Crews were able to put the fire out in about an hour.
