Schultz ends up in 72nd at the PGA Q-School

(WDAY Sports) - Kermit the Frog once said its not easy being green and David Schultz will tell you tonight that it's not easy having a dream. He shoots a one under 71 today in the sixth and final round of PGA Tour Qualifying School.
He finishes tied for 72nd or 8 shots off of the number he needed to shoot to earn his PGA Tour card, but he ties Tim Herron and beats David Duval and about 100 other guys.
Still it's hard to come up short.
“I’m excited for next year right now it's hard to see that because my goal was to make the PGA Tour and I did not accomplish that. I worked hard for it and its disappointing when it doesn't happen and I appreciate everybody that follows and supports me and it means a lot.”
Schultz will have full status on the nationwide tour next season.
