BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem plans two conferences about prescription drug abuse.
The first is Tuesday in Bismarck, followed by one Wednesday in Fargo.
The conferences will offer training and educational opportunities about prescription drug abuse for law enforcement officers, treatment and addiction counselors, social workers, doctors and prosecutors.
The conferences are free but preregistration is required at the attorney general's Web site, http://www.ag.nd.gov.
Stenehjem says prescription drugs are perceived to be less dangerous or addictive — but drug abuse is drug abuse.
