DA: Minn. teacher left lusty notes for young girls

BUFFALO, Minn. (AP) — A middle-school band teacher in Wright County is accused of leaving lusty notes in the lockers of two of his female students.

BUFFALO, Minn. (AP) — A middle-school band teacher in Wright County is accused of leaving lusty notes in the lockers of two of his female students.

Fifty-three-year-old Martin Lee Bartels of Anoka was charged this week with misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

He has been on paid administrative leave from Buffalo Community Middle School since the allegations were first made three weeks ago.

A telephone message left at Bartels' home Saturday was not immediately returned.

Prosecutors say video surveillance shows Bartels putting the notes in the girls' lockers.

The Star Tribune of Minneapolis reports that Bartels admitted writing notes about the bodies of the girls, ages 12 and 13.

The criminal complaint says one note compliments a girl's legs and "great curves."
