More than 50 lbs of pot seized in ND traffic stop
DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) — The North Dakota Highway Patrol says it seized more than 50 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop along Interstate 94 in Dickinson.
DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) — The North Dakota Highway Patrol says it seized more than 50 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop along Interstate 94 in Dickinson.
A news release issued by the patrol on Monday says a trooper stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation Saturday around 7 p.m. A subsequent search of the vehicle using a drug-sniffing dog found the marijuana in heat-sealed bags.
The two people inside the vehicle were arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver. They are identified as 29-year-old Arturas Teras of Van Nuys, Calif., and 35-year-old Donatas Jasiulionis of Seattle, Wash.
