No NCAA tournament bid for the Bison

(WDAY Sports) - After a week of waiting and wondering, the Bison volleyball team finally found out today if they would have more games to play as the NCAA tournament field was announced.

But NDSU did not receive an at-large bid, the Bison faced five squads in the 64 team field and beat three of them, but the five set losses to Miami and the number 3 seed Florida State cost them a shot at the tourney.

“If we flip one of those losses for wins, and we beat a Florida State we gets the third overall seed for the tournament, or you beat a Miami who's in there out of five teams in the AXX, you beat one of those and go 24-3 and I think we may be having a different conversation.”

IPFW, which won the Summit League tournament, will face Illinois in the 1st round.
