Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Fargo street crews are hard at work catching up on some much needed projects that were delayed. You've probably noticed orange cones and signs like these on many streets.
Workers are filling potholes, doing asphalt and sewer work, and repairing manholes. This work is usually done in October. The wet fall forced the delay of several weeks. Leaders say there's more minor work out there than they can do but every bit helps.
“Anytime you take any giddy ups out of the street is a benefit for when conditions are slippery.”
Another project being done early is leaf clean-up. Crews are getting a jump start months earlier than normal so there will be less work in the spring.
