An early Christmas present for the Great Plains Food Bank from the world’s largest big box store.
(WDAY TV) - An early Christmas present for the Great Plains Food Bank from the world’s largest big box store. Wal-Mart today donated an 85-thousand dollar refrigerated truck to be used in western North Dakota to collect food for the Great Plains network of pantries there.
As part of the donation, Wal-Mart also included several pallets of food. Throughout the year, Wal-Mart stores in North Dakota donated a half-million pounds of food to the Great Plains Food Bank.
