Fire department joins Twitter

(WDAY TV) - If you're on twitter, there's a new page to follow: the Fargo Fire Department. The department just joined the social networking site. It's an opportunity for firefighters to connect with the public.
Firefighters say since they provide a public service, they want to let people know what they're doing on a daily basis.
“But we would like to reach everybody for safety reasons just for tips, general household safety, emergency safety, driving.”
The department is planning on setting up a Facebook page next.
