NEW SALEM, N.D. (AP) — The Mercer County Sheriff's Department says a New Salem man died after crashing into an anhydrous ammonia tank being pulled by a semi.
Forty-year-old Tyler Hoherz was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash late Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of a county road and state Highway 200.
Authorities say Hoherz apparently went through a stop sign in his minivan and struck the anhydrous tank.
The tank did not leak, and the semi driver was not injured.
