(WDAY TV) - Despite our wealth of wind, local economic leaders say getting related manufacturing companies to invest here and bring new manufacturing jobs will not be a breeze.

Denise Bode with the American Wind Energy Association says last year our nation added 55 new manufacturing facilities and 35-thousand new jobs, but, here at home, jobs were lost.

DMI Industries cut nearly 200 employees over the past year. The President of the F-M Economic Development Corporation says we would need more aggressive incentives to compete with other cities and states before targeting those kinds of companies.
