Group hopes to give away 500 prom dresses

(WDAY TV) - It's now gotten a lot easier and cheaper for area girls to find the perfect dress for prom. As part of Operation Hopes and Dreams, the group is trying to get 500 prom dresses donated, and then given out free at Fargo South on February thirteenth.

Right now, they have 50 dresses. Organizers say every girl should be able to go to prom.

"There’s so many out there that have prom dresses in their closet and they'll never wear them again, but also bridesmaid's dresses. How many of us are in weddings and we'll never wear those dresses again? And they work."

Donated dresses can be dropped off at any M.J. Capelli Hair Salon in Fargo or Moorhead.
