Congratulations are in order to three members of the Fargo Force who are proudly wearing gold medals tonight.
(WDAY Sports) - Congratulations are in order to three members of the Fargo Force who are proudly wearing gold medals tonight. The U-S team won the World Junior A Challenge championship last night with a 2-1 win over Canada west in Prince Edward Island.
The two U-S goals were scored by Matt Leitner and Eamonn McDermott. McDermott was named Player of the Game. He scored the first goal and Leitner got the game winner 50 seconds into the third period.
Colton St. Clair also skated for the U-S team. It's the second straight year that the U-S team won the tournament.
