A touching Veterans celebration today at a local assisted living center. Edgewood Vista treated some of its tenants to a Veterans Day celebration.
(WDAY TV) - A touching Veterans celebration today at a local assisted living center. Edgewood Vista treated some of its tenants to a Veterans Day celebration.
40 out of 180 people who live at Edgewood Vista are veterans. It's the 2nd year the community has held its program. The decision came last year after a couple veterans thought up the plan.
“This is something with Veterans Day that we should have a program, so it was two of our residents that had the idea.”
Edgewood Vista keeps a plaque with the names of veterans who reside there.
