Oakes Service Station Burns
Oakes, ND (WDAY-TV) -- Fire destroyed a service station in Oakes, ND overnight. Crews were called to the Highway 1 Fuel and Service Station at about 9:00 Tuesday night. The convenience store and truck stop are a total loss. It’s not known yet how the fire started, but investigators will be back on the scene later today. No one was hurt.By: Chastity Walberg, WDAY

Fire destroyed a service station in Oakes, ND overnight.
Oakes, ND (WDAY-TV) -- Fire destroyed a service station in Oakes, ND overnight.
Crews were called to the Highway 1 Fuel and Service Station at about 9:00 Tuesday night.
Firefighters tell WDAY 6 News that it was a nasty fire, a hard one to fight.
Highway 1 was temporarily shutdown and traffic detoured during the fire.
The convenience store and truck stop are a total loss.
It’s not known yet how the fire started, but investigators will be back on the scene later today.
No one was hurt.
Fire departments from Lamoure, Gwinner and Ellendale also responded.
