(WDAY TV) - Thanks to Cargill and the Salvation Army, 50 area kids who needed a winter coat, boots, hat and gloves, now have them. Kids un-wrapped their winter gear tonight.
Each bundle came in a bag, everything inside color coordinated. Kids were able to try on their new clothing, to make sure it fit. Cargill employees went shopping in Fargo to buy it all; leaders from the local grain and oilseed company say they enjoy supporting kids in their own community.
“You know, all of our employees are from here and we all know needy families and kids and whatever, so we're all impacted. So it is a bit like a big family”
Cargill also donated five thousand dollars to the Salvation Army’s hot meals program.
