Bobcat to open new site in January

Wahpeton, ND (WDAY TV) - A large number of jobs will be coming to the southern valley. Bobcat will be opening a new site this January and the buzz of those job openings is receiving a lot of attention.

Job listings opened last week for positions at this future Bobcat plant here in Wahpeton. People from Job Service of North Dakota say they're already seeing a large amount of applicants.

More than 125 applications have already been turned in. The company is looking to hire around 50 employees. Job openings are for machinists, material handlers, assemblers and maintenance mechanics.

People from job service say it's no surprise to see a lot of applications for these positions. They say it's a good company in North Dakota offering above average wages and benefits.

Beto says he expects the applications to continue coming in at a fast pace. Every Job Service of North Dakota does have copies of the applications.
