Main Street reopens in Valley City

Valley City, ND (WDAY TV) - It’s another step toward full flood recovery in Valley City. Main Street is now reopened through town. The road had been shut down for months because of spring flooding and construction and repairs to the sewer lines.
Those lines were built more than 100 years ago about 15 feet below the Main Street.
During the flood the city poured concrete down the holes to keep the system from backing up, which officials say made construction a little tougher.
