Another vaccine clinic is held in West Fargo

The lines didn't stretch as far as last week, but people still had a lengthy wait for swine flu vaccines in West Fargo. Fargo Cass Public Health held another vaccine clinic at the high school.

The lines didn't stretch as far as last week, but people still had a lengthy wait for swine flu vaccines in West Fargo. Fargo Cass Public Health held another vaccine clinic at the high school.

The target groups were children six months to four years old. Also, five to 18 years old with underlying medical conditions such as asthma, cystic fibrosis and immune deficiency disorders. There were about eight hundred vaccines given.

“Something that's important to get for your children and you know they're very patient nobody was really causing a ruckus and it was nice to know that people are looking out for others.”

On Monday, there will be a vaccine clinic for pregnant women only. It will run from 2 to 6 at Atonement Lutheran Church on south University in Fargo.

With increased flu needs, North Dakota health officials say they have enough supplies to treat patients, at least for now.

Many states are running low on supplies like sanitizer and surgical masks. Suppliers report backorders that will take months to fill. That isn't the case in North Dakota.

State leaders say they prepared early on for a pandemic and that preparation is now paying off. The unknown, what the rest of the flu season holds.
