(WDAY TV) - A Minnesota lawmaker is reacting to news the nation's unemployment rate has gone up. Unemployment hit 10.2 percent in October, the highest since 1983.

The hardest hit for job loss was construction, manufacturing and retail. Republicans blame the President's policies. Senator Amy Klobuchar says not so fast.

“The issue isn't pointing fingers at Republicans or Democrats or the President. The issue is going forward.”

October was the 22nd month in a row employers cut jobs. The nation has now lost almost 7.4 million jobs since January 2007.
