Breckenridge, Minn. (WDAY TV) - People in Breckenridge can breathe a sigh of relief thanks to federal funding for flood work. The city is five million dollars closer to completing flood control.
The funding is part of the energy and water appropriations bill. Lawmakers on both sides of the river worked on the bill.
It will cover the project's final phase of construction, a three mile area near the Otter Tail and Red Rivers. Construction could start next year.
